Promoting Undergraduate Learning and Studies in Astrophysical Research (PULSAR)

I co-founded PULSAR with the UF Astronomy Department Chair Dr. Elizabeth Lada, and we have hosted numerous research-focused events since the club's creation:
-
A "Meet the Professors" event, where undergraduates introduced themselves to astronomy professors in an informal setting, leading to many new students beginning research projects.

-
An oral presentation conference, poster symposium, and CV and REU workshops, providing undergraduate students with opportunities to present their research, enhance presentation skills, and improve networking
Women in Astronomy and Astrophysics Society Program (WAAM)

As a mentor with WAAM, I've had the privilege of guiding two fellow astrophysics undergraduate students. Through this experience, I've gained invaluable insights into the challenges women face in physics and astronomy. Moving forward, I'm committed to supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the workplace environment for women in physics. My role in mentoring involves guiding a mentee in networking, REU programs, internships, and scholarships, providing me with valuable experience in mentorship and communication.
The Astronomy and Astrophysics Society (AAS)

As the previous Treasurer Secretary of AAS, I have hosted many fundraisers and assisted in the planning of many events, which includes the following:

-
Educational trips to Kennedy Space Center
-
Visits to the local planetarium
-
Observing at the University of Florida's Campus Teaching Observatory (CTO)
-
Star Parties at the University of Florida's Rosemary Hill Observatory
-
Numerous outreach events focused on broadening education in astronomy
Hobbies and Personal Projects
"Grady's Grounds" Espresso Fundraisers

During my position as the Secretary of AAS, I proposed a new fundraiser idea to the club: an espresso fundraiser where I could raise money for the club through donations while improving my latte-making skills! The fundraisers have been very successful for AAS, providing a social atmosphere for students and professors alike, and I continued this fundraisers until graduation in Spring 2025.
Eagle Scout

I became an Eagle Scout in 2020, when I completed my Eagle Project. For my project, I led a team of scouts in renovating the dog run of a local pet adoption center SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia). For my renovations, I fundraised a total of $2000, woodworked, built concrete pathways and stairs, and created effective blueprint plans for the project.
